Photographs from New England Camera Clubs in Bangor Maine for One Night!

On Thursday November 29th, 2012, Eastern Maine Camera Club is hosting the New England Camera Club's (NECCC) Inter-Club Competition.  NECCC is a non-profit umbrella group for 84 camera clubs in the New England states (Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont).  The Council was established in 1937 and incorporated in 1963. http://www.neccc.org

This will be a unique opportunity for club members and THE COMMUNITY to see nearly 300 of the best color prints from 28 camera clubs around New England.  Best of all, it will be FREE. As always Eastern Maine Camera Club will be accepting donations for the Frank Howd Scholarship. You can get more information about the scholarship here: http://easternmainecameraclub.org.

This is our first time hosting this event in a long time. Here's what we expect to happen.  We'll be starting around 5 PM, at the Parks and Rec Building at 647 Main Street in Bangor.  There will be three judges.  Each of the images will be brought out and placed in a light box where the judges will view then score the image.  After it's scored the image will be removed from the light box and taken back to it's shipping container.  The scores will be recorded and passed on to NECCC who will tally the scores and declare the winners.  The results will then be posted on their web site: NECCC Inter-Club Competetion Information.

The judging could easily last a couple hours, possibly more.  The public is invited to attend.  There will be some seating available behind the judges, so people will be able to sit and watch as the images filter through.  People are welcome to come and go as they please, we just ask that everyone try to be quiet and limit disruptions.

For more information you can contact Eastern Maine Camera Club with this form:
