Born and raised in East Germany Baerbel came to the US in 1995 as an AuPair. She met her husband while working for a family in CT, and moved to the US permanently in 1997. She worked as research scientist for a large German based pharmaceutical company in CT. After falling in love with the state on their first visit over 20 years ago, in 2013 she and her family moved to Maine. Baerbel bought her first camera with pocket money when she was 10 years old.
If you have ever visited the Maine Photo FaceBook page you have undoubtedly seen and admired her work. Her photographs often come from her back yard right here in the State of Maine. She has a way of turning ordinary subjects into extraordinary images. Her presentation in 2018 was very popular among those attending, so we are thrilled that she will be joining us again!
Thursday night Baerbel will be speaking to us about “The Birds and the Bees”. This talk will feature wildlife photography, Baerbel’s favorite subject. Please join us and bring a friend.
The meeting will be held in the Senior room at Bangor Parks and Rec, 647 Main Street, Bangor Maine. Start time; 6:30 PM. The public is invited. The cost; FREE.
